Instead of spending retirement downing plates of fresh oysters and a cold beer from their deck overlooking Mt.Rainier, they are in New Orleans volunteering their time to rebuild. And they were downing fresh oysters and cold beer with us! More than Kaiser coming together as a team we all came together as a team, irregardless of gender, age, job, experience or dietary habits. Maybe it was the work, the damp cold, or the sense of a job well done, but that catfish Po' Boy on the deck that one afternoon was one of the best sandwiches I can remember for a long time.<BR/>It wasn't hard to buy into Dave and Ann's direction for the deck rebuilding - I think for those of us who saw NOLA the year before, we really wanted to get to the rebuilding side and put the gutting and mold remediation behind us. We appreciate their efforts, and that they let a few of us sneak out from painting duties to finish the deck. Those pesky concrete footings didnt stand a chance! Neither did a couple of pitchers of beer!LightSpeedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15685975461886633230noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8682065060326846066.post-11668402408606393972008-02-02T16:22:00.000-08:002008-02-02T16:22:00.000-08:00Very Well done!!!
